what if you filled a tank with TIM that had a lot of electrical resistance and put fans to circulate the TIM?

ehh? 1 more idea to ponder or shoot down?

TIM doesn't dissipate heat, it merely fills holes in the processor's IHS and heatsink's base ;)

 

Edit: I'm getting slow!

 

Maybe I should fill my water cooling setup with TIM...

dude...TIM is used to fill empty spaces that are found on the surface of the CPU's plate

after i thought about it your completely right

BUT couldn't we think of the air inside a case as just a huge empty air space, like those found between heatsinks and the PU's
