that final 10%

running the older socket, but i gotta know....

so i read the pinned guides, figured out how to get the clocks and voltages going. but i think that last 10% is in the other smaller adjustments....i think. if i'm wrong and auto settings are the way to go then please let me know. i'm working an e7300 under water. sitting at 3.6g now (400x9 1:1 @1.35v, shows 1.32 on cpuz) and of course i'm not happy.

so, any P5Q pro owners out there have any 'extra' knowlege of the finite adjustments to get that last bit of stability and speed? i'd like to see over 3.8 where possible but if we cover all the bases and i cant get to it, then that's fine. as long as i know i tried my best.

also, whats the max safe voltage of the Northbridge? that ones throwing me....i think i could go over 2.7 if i knew that one.

If you are only on 1.35V then that is not enough. What are temps like?

I know my Phenom II x3 720 went to 3.6 ghz at stock voltages, and then started eating it up like crazy past that, it took me 1.55V to get 3.75 stable (Haven't tried 3.8 yet)

Temps are great to, 25-35C idle, havent seen it over 47C after a couple hours of prime

my temps are fantastic. its under water. its a 45nm chip and the max safe on that is 1.3625 Vc. i havent tested it much yet i just got it up and the software all updated before running up the speed. in a psare hour i got it from stock to 3.6 (backed down to 3.5 as some programs weren't right....) i know its not entirely stable yet but i'm working on it.

[edit:] clocked at 1.35vc, 3.5ghz, running super pi 2 instances brought load temps up to 29c on occasion.....21c idle. its in my basement and room temp here is about 19c. thats what speedfan tells me anyway, however much thats worth. [/end]
