This is the list of stuff CPU: Intel Core i7 860, S1156, Lynnfield, Quad Core, 2.80GHz, DMI 2.5 GT/s, 8MB Cache, 95W, Retail M/B:EVGA 132-LF-E657-KR, Intel P55 Express, S1156, DDR3 2600+(OC), SATA 3Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX RAM: 4GB (2x2GB) Corsair XMS3 DDR3, PC3-12800 (1600), 240 Pin, Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 8-8-8-24, XMP GPU: 1GB EVGA GTX 285 SSC 55nm, 2646MHz GDDR3, GPU 702MHz, Shader 1584MHz, 240 Cores PSU:650 Corsair Professional HX650W Watt modular power supply with 80PLUS Bronze certification H/D 500 GB Seagate ST3500418AS Barracuda 7200.12, SATA 3Gb/s, 7200rpm, 16MB Cache, 9.5 ms, NCQ X2 (cant afford SSD) What do the experts think ? ...................................................... Also it has been years since i overclocked and it was an AMD. I will be water cooling this system with my original gear (new blocks) it has a 25litre tank with two pumps so has the movement. I ran an old AMD single core thing for years @2525mhz anyway....I was going to ask can anyone give me a clue what the intel chip could run at and if you had any usefull links. voltage,multi etc etc. Thanks for reading this and for any input. What resolution will you be running? You might be able to save some money on the video card if you're running like 1680x1050 or below. What resolution will you be running? You might be able to save some money on the video card if you're running like 1680x1050 or below. evga is very very good but gigabyte is better in overclocking (msi , asus as well ) right now i think 5870 or gtx 280 5870 kicks 285 butt , and 280 can get to 285 performance level 275 is very good , it gives almost the same performance of 285 with very cool price if you want to throw money on 285 5870 will be better by the way , what games do you want to play .................?
