what is the best cooler for amd phenom II x4 940 BE

with DFI LP DK 790FXB-M2RS

 

 

if comparing Zero Therm NIRVANA NV120 PREMIUM with SunBeam Core Contact Freezer

 

which one better and why?

I would say the SunBeam Core Contact Freezer, because it has a slightly better fan, (more CFM).

 

If you want even better performance, and cost is not an issue, I would recommend a True Black 120.

This cooler allows for 2 fans in a push & pull config. But is at twice the cost.

Not all heatsinks need high cfm fans. I have the Xigmatek hdt-s1283 and I bought a 100cfm fan to replace the stock ~60 cfm fan and the temps actually rose. I have no clue why, but obviously Xigmatek did their homework on it. I'd go with the Nirvana cooler.
