Trend Micro

Anyone tried this security software yet. I have been running it for a month now and must say quite impressed with it.

It is very low on using the resources and with gaming it's awesome. You can also use it with gaming consoles. If anyone is using it or has used give us some feedback

I have several clients that use Trend Micro and the majority of them are happy with it. I personally prefer Panda, Kaspersky, or Nod32 over Trend Micro but that doesn't mean I think it is a bad product.

I prefer Eset Smart Secuirty, it takes all the back-doors, torjans etc down and its using 0% of my CPU when im gaming etc. It scans the whole HD fast too, but then again i have a 40gb drive and a 250gb external wich i never scan...

  • 1 month later...

It seem okay. I ran a scan on my brand new netbook and found like 20 viruses, but im pretty sure idont have any, i even ran some other anti-virus programs and they didnt find anything. I think trend was thinking my bloat-ware were malware, which i guess in a sense they are.

-1 for Trend

I've used their 2008 and 2009 Internet Security package and all in all it didn't seem to work very well at detecting and especially removing trojans. Just my two cents. Trying BitDefender Antivirus and I'm actually like it so far, however I've only used it for about two months, which admittedly isn't all that much time to make a genuine assessment.

I used it on this pc for a year never had any problems with it, I did switch to Kapersky tho, since I have so many more pc's now 6 in all and run kapersky on each, and I think I won't switch away from it ever, it's every bit as fast if not faster, it don't slow my pc down any, and it's always blocking some ., trojan's, wurms, etc, and has a keystroke logger detector too. So I am diging that one so far, but yeah trend micro wasn't bad by any means, just annoyed me that it never seemd to find anything, and kapersky did upon install basically.
