cali101 Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 I currently have a Conroe 1333 DVI/H which only supports up to ddr2 667 (333MHz), but my ram at the moment is DDR2 533 (266MHz), limiting my E2180 overclock to 2.66GHz (the fsb ratio is 1:1). However, I am getting a new motherboard soon which takes much higher frequencies for RAM (I'm still saving for it). Can I use DDR2 800 on my motherboard at the moment or will I have to wait until I get the new motherboard?? Thanks... Cali101.... tkrow21 Posted July 19, 2009 Posted July 19, 2009 If you underclock the memory you will be fine.
