Kusmariini Posted July 15, 2009 Posted July 15, 2009 (edited) Ok folks! My first CPU overclock has been made and proven to be stable! Some Specs: ASRock M3A790GXH/128M motherboard Phenom II x3 720 (the activation of the fourth core was unsuccesful) Info: - I clocked the CPU to 3.5GHz - Had to restart twice - On Idle 29C - On load something about 49C - OC'd completely from BIOS - CPU Voltage 1.4500 - CPU Multiplier 17.5 - NB Multiplier 13.0 - NB Voltage 1.2175 - One Bluescreen - Cooled with stock cooler What do you guys think of work from a newbie? Fail? Win? Comments? Ps: I don't know how to overclock RAM (I know very little about this so don't laugh so hard) and I would need any advice relating to it Edited July 16, 2009 by Kusmariini

Looks good so far, but you should go higher . Make sure you run a few stress testing apps like Prime95, OCCT, or maybe IntelBurnTest (really watch your temps on this one especially)

Something like 4.2GHz is my goal. And I already did the OCCT test. As said, on load 49c =)
