mistabonz Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Was wondering if anyone has any experience with phase change as a cooling option for the cpu? Thinking about making the plunge for winter wars this year.
Nerm Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 Well what exactly do you want to know? There are a lot of things that go into it. TBH if you just want extreme cooling for benchmarking sessions DICE/LN2 is a better option.
kitfit1 Posted July 13, 2009 Posted July 13, 2009 I'd tend to agree with Nerm. I run Phase 24/7 on my 2 rigs, and yes it does get me a very much higher clock than water or air would. But if you are wanting to do some serious benching, phase will not get you the same results as DICE or LN2. A Cascade certainly would if you can find a builder and afford to run it.
