Penryn Posted June 15, 2009 Posted June 15, 2009 As mentioned. I have an abit IP35 Pro Off Limits using an Intel Chipset P35. It installs Windows Vista or prior & works perfectly but unable to install any flavors or version of Windows 7 at all. Note: I've updated the BIOS to the lastest version sucessfully & had the latest version of Intel

I managed to install win 7 & was able to get it to ( Completing installation ...) phase then from there it just either freeze nor an error message pop up simply says the installation cannot continue cuz of file missing something like that but i'm sure the disc is OK. Penryn Posted June 16, 2009 Posted June 16, 2009 Are you trying to install Windows 7 from inside an existing operating system? No. I booted from DVD on a formatted HHD.

Your computer is either unstable or you have a bad burn / dying DVD drive. Try installing from a flash drive, P35s don't have any problems with 7.
