AMD Overclocking Event In Austin, Texas

Recommended Posts

On May 21st AMD gathered many people in the semi-conductor industry, as well as press, and many prestigious overclockers to watch and push Phenom II to extreme limits under LHe and LN2. This also involved the world's first clear liquid nitrogen pot, and a lot of shattered world records.

Here is the coverage. Many pictures inside!

They've been being used for some time now. I think this event is the 4th of it's kind now. They are doing another one soon in Florida I believe.

Thats very impressive.

And the fact that its stable at 6.3ghz is even more impressive

K|ngp|n got 6.89GHz or around there I believe. Not stable though.

Yeah I did not think about linking to my coverage here... I thought the news guys would have done it on the front page but it seems they did not...

Are the remaining results posted somewhere, Slappa?

------

Carl Poirier

Edit: Damn it seems Andre Yang already got its revenge on K|ngp|n's 3DMark06 record... He beat it by a mere 14pts!! He used HD4890s clocked at 1170MHz on the core.
