Nuclear Posted April 18, 2009 Posted April 18, 2009 Personally I would stay away from that kit. You will need a very good 240MM rad to keep the i7 cool at higher voltages, so I would recommend going with a nice triple rad and strong pump. A quick rundown of a great i7 setup: XPSC or Feser Triple Rad HeatKiller 3.0 or EK Supreme LT Block Swiftech 355 pump with XPSC top or XPSC rez top
ccokeman Posted April 19, 2009 Posted April 19, 2009 I use a Swiftech 320 rad, D5 vario pump, Swiftech GTZ on my 965 and run load temps around 62 to 65 Celsius depnding on the room temperature. This setup has done well for the dollars invested. (about 190 bucks). THe parts that Nuclear recommended are excellent as well. I just like the Laing D5 pump. I have 3 different systems runnning them and have not had a failure yet. The last one was the first I used a res on and it was much easier to bleed the system. 10 minutes vs 25 minutes. The heatkiller is new and results are really promising and it may be my next block.
