RJR Posted March 10, 2009 Posted March 10, 2009 After a pencil mod a couple of years ago (Asus P5KC), I had NO vdrop (offset) or vdroop (load) at all. I thought that was great. After updating my processor to a 45nm I noticed a slight vdrop but still no vdroop. After reading this I'm thinking of removing the pencil mod altogether. http://www.anandtech.com/cpuchipsets/intel...?i=3184&p=
ebarone Posted March 11, 2009 Posted March 11, 2009 +1 for that article, everyone should read it. Not just the vdroop section, but the MCH and tRD sections also.
