road-runner Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 When I get a motherboard I usually always pull the heatpipe cooler or heatsink off the northbridge to put better thermal paste on it. Somehow I was lazy and did not check the P45 DS4, this is what I found yesterday when I pulled it. It was barely making contact... malmsteenisgod Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Lol. Now that's a bit conservative with the thermal paste.

MINDSCI Posted February 20, 2009 Posted February 20, 2009 Definitely a GigaBLUNDER! From what I have learned from Gigabyte Mobo's - which, by the way are awesome!- is pull off the "Crazy Cool" Bling and install serious Heatsinks.
