TheJew540 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Whats the best program to monitor system temps?
IVIYTH0S Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 what temps are you trying to read? HW Monitor is a good general temp measuring program (though I'm not sure if it comes calibrated for every processor)

IVIYTH0S Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I guess use CoreTemp or RealTemp for your processor since atleast for mine, the CPU values are uncalibrated on HWmonitor.
TheJew540 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Sweet thx So another question What do u think the best RAM for my system would be? Phenom II 940 @ 3.8 Asus M3A79-T Deluxe, Crossfired Asus 4870 DK , Seagate 500GB HDD
TheJew540 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 I have Corsair Dominator in it but I melted a stick in half I heard that OCZ overclocks better and I was thinking about trying the OCZ Plat. But IDK? any suggestions?
IVIYTH0S Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 umm I guess either company would be good, I'm not sure what that board likes as far as certain vendors go, you might want to look at the best compatible sticks. Other than that there are just too many good memory companies out there now for me to pick just one, post up a few that you are considering. TheJew540 Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 Well I was mainly looking at OCZ Platinum Series 4GB DDR2 Have any of you oced with these ?
Turophiliac Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 (edited) i'm partial to G Skill, These would work great in your mobo. But those OCZ platinums would be good too. I also like the Reapers from OCZ, a little more expensive though. Edited February 11, 2009 by Turophiliac
IVIYTH0S Posted February 11, 2009 Posted February 11, 2009 My reapers are lovely (though until a recent bios update, they didn't like to be overclocked, now they conform to my will!)
