sYstEmATiC Posted February 9, 2009 Posted February 9, 2009 MOST (most common) of the time when people are wanting to build a speaker box it is for car audio subwoofers. Normally when you buy speakers/subs for a car they dont come in a box. Now the mids/high's usually bolt up to were the factory speakers were originally, but for subwoofers, you either have to buy a box, or build one. You can buy some plain jane box that is fairly cheap ($30), or you can buy a more fancy more expensive box that will allow your subs to sound a little better depending on the application. To get the best sound for that specific speaker/car, you can build your own to the required dimensions of that speaker.
