Bosco Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 If you go I7 I have found that Mushkins memory is a pretty darn good compared to Corsair's stuff and not to mention its $88 cheaper. I have not tried the Gigabyte board yet the I got was DOA so I had to RMA it. So far we have got our highest overclocks on MSI boards so far. I love my thermaltake case so I give you a vote for that Everything you have listed it pretty darn good.
The Smith Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 2 x GTX 280?1 x GTX 295 + 1 GTX 260 or 2 x RADEON 4870 1 X RADEON 4870 X2 + 1 RADEON 4870 HELP!! This is reallllly giving me grief on the x3 monitors You can't SLI a GTX295 and a GTX260. If I were you, I would only get one GTX295, provided you can connect one of these monitors via HDMI. (The GTX295 has 1xHDMI + 2xDVI) Good luck
xPETEZx Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Do all 3 ports work on he GTX295? OR just 2 like on the 9800GX2? (or was it just 1 that worked? ) best bet is porbably 1 GTX295, and then some cheap card for the 3rd screen, like a 9600. Unless you plan to game on ALL THREE screens. In which case another GTX260 would do it.
2006C6 Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 thanks guy for the input - keep it coming bosco - thanks on the memory - is there any difference in stability that you know of? Also I would love to know if all three outputs work at the same time as well. If so that solves a lot of issues. If I want to game across all three monitors what would be the best way? again - thanks guys!
Bosco Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 No issues from Mushkin yet we all run multiple sets. We have never really had any issues with Mushkin the biggest thing I like about those guys is they are a very one on one company. They take the time to talk to you and make sure they sell you the memory you need. Performance wise there stuff has been awesome for the last 3 years that we have been working with them and their pricing is very good as well. They have some new DDR3 kits coming out to the public and they are fast the fastest I have seen to date.
