Well, It is a OLD (about 3-4 years old) gateway.

Probably won't find many (if any) OC options in a pre-built PC . They usually have locked BIOS'.

You could try software like Clockgen just for kicks. I see clockgen is mysteriously missing and says "be back soon." You might find it somewhere.

I downloaded that program, and set it at 2.2 ghz, but CPUZ will says it did not change any speed.

 

Any ideas on what I can do from here?

look for the pll on the motherboard. that means you have to open the case up. Then read it off and see if clockgen or any other programs support that pll

 

socket 939 with that cpu may be able to net 3ghz on a good motherboard.

 

 

 

 

you could always replace the motherboard, since it will be a major hinderance.
