Memrory Help

Bought Corsair Dominator TWIN2X8500C5D 4096MB but they currently only working at 800 so would need some help what settings i should use in bios etc to get them work @1066 with my current setup and mobo

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6850

Mainboard: Abit ix38 QuadGt

Memory: 4Gb Corsair Dominator

Readyboost: 4Gb Cosair Voyager USB 2.0

Graphics: Nvidia 8800Gtx

Power: Corsair Powersupply 750W

Storage: 2x 500Gb Western Digital Caviar

Sound: Creative X-Fi

Media: Optiarc 20x Sata DVDr/rw

Monitor: HP w2207 22"

OS: Windows Vista Ultimate x64 ( SP1 )

Current Driver: FW177.83

I just looked at your BIOS screens (here)

 

It should be the DRAM speed (DRAM : CPU) in one of the "OC Guru" menus. These are commonly known as 'dividers'.

Aye but the 1066 dont exist in there

 

Hmm, I'm not sure how the dividers work on your motherboard. You might not get 1066 exactly if the clock is based off of the CPU speed...(I guess that would translate to DDR2-1000 for a 1:3 divider)

 

Are you running 2 DIMMs or 4?
