/// Please Help! New Mobo, Cpu, Ram & Case! \\\

I'm from the UK but live in Austria. I'm on a budget of 500 euros: that's about a bit under $800 USD.

I have some questions:

(1)Firstly, does the RAM below work with the mobo below?

(2)Some computer cases say BIOS 1 or BIOS 2 in the product information. What does this mean?

(3)Should I be looking at DDR3 capable mobos and RAM for my price range? (I can get more bang for my buck with my proposal below, can't I?)

(4)Is the case one to avoid or not? I've looked at alot but with only 70 to 80 euros max to spend on a case this seems like one of the better ones...Also note, I'm coming from a crappy Dell Dimension 5150 case. (This is my first time creating a custom build -(I already have a graphics card and PSU which are good for gaming and compatible, so I'm not shopping for those particular items)).

Mobo: ABIT IX38 QuadGT X38

http://www.amazon.de/Universal-ABIT-IX38-Q...8238&sr=1-2

CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz

http://www.amazon.de/Core-2-Duo-E8500-3-16...0232&sr=1-1

RAM: 2 x 2GB sticks G.Skill DDR2

Case: Cooler Master 690

http://www.amazon.de/Cooler-Master-Xcalade...4653&sr=8-6

That lot all comes to 500 euros (near enough).

My goal is to play Mass Effect on max settings. And in November 2008 when Lord of the Rings: Conquest comes out, I'd like to be able to play that on max or very high settings too. I belive the above items are the best I can do with my money...

The one thing I can tell you with confidence is, if you're on a budget you'd probably be better off with the e8400 that small a frequency increase isn't worth the extra cost.
