Adidre Posted December 14, 2007 Posted December 14, 2007 I have a motherboard DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G with 2GB (2x1GB) of RAM (OCZ2P800LP2GK LANParty SLI-M2R/G optimized). The memory runs at 4-4-4-15-1T, 2.2V. Latest BIOS applied. Today I added another 2GB (2x1GB) of the same type of memory but the system cannot start anymore. Vista is saying that some files are corrupt and to run repair from the CD. Ubuntu 7.10 is not starting at all. If I remove the 2 GB of memory everything is working fine, Vista and Ubuntu can start perfect doesn't matter which pair of memory I use. I'm using 32 bit OS version. What could cause my motherboard to don't work with all 4GB of RAM? Should I need to setup something else in BIOS? Thanks. ------------------------------------------------------------ DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G AMD X2 6400+ Black Edition 2GB OCZ2P800LP2GK LANParty SLI-M2R/G optimized eVGA 8800GTS Superclocked OCZ GameXStream 600W
RyderOCZ Posted December 15, 2007 Posted December 15, 2007 I answered you over at the OCZ forums too: http://www.ocztechnologyforum.com/forum/sh...ead.php?t=33249 Pasted from there: Set 2T and set the timings to 5-4-4-15. You cannot run 1T with 4 sticks and 4-4-4 is very tight with 4GB.
