4GB RAM on UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G

Recommended Posts

I have a motherboard DFI LANParty UT NF590 SLI-M2R/G with 2GB (2x1GB) of RAM (OCZ2P800LP2GK LANParty SLI-M2R/G optimized). The memory runs at 4-4-4-15-1T, 2.2V. Latest BIOS applied.

Today I added another 2GB (2x1GB) of the same type of memory but the system cannot start anymore. Vista is saying that some files are corrupt and to run repair from the CD. Ubuntu 7.10 is not starting at all. If I remove the 2 GB of memory everything is working fine, Vista and Ubuntu can start perfect doesn't matter which pair of memory I use. I'm using 32 bit OS version.

What could cause my motherboard to don't work with all 4GB of RAM? Should I need to setup something else in BIOS?

Thanks.
