booting probs

i got a amd2600+ 512ram and 80gig hdd

 

and when it is booting it stops at verifying dmi pool data.....

 

tried connecting it with another old pc (p2) and got the same problems :S

 

any ideas ?

i got a new hard disk and when i boot from the cd (windows xp) and it begins to load some stuff and then it comes starting windows ( something like that) and after that a bsod comes up :S

 

any ideas ?

p.s. on the first time i was doing a full format and had did a hard reboot

update:

 

i booted from the win xp cd and formatted the hdd... then after it rebooted normally to begin the installation of winxp it said.. press a button to boot from cd again and gets stuck there... if i press the button it boots from the cd to format the hdd again :S

Hello,

 

Depending on how the boot order is setup, it may hang like that.

 

Download the bootable iso.zip.

http://www.memtest.org/#downiso

 

Extract files.

Burn the ISO. (Do you know how to burn an Image/ISO to CD?)

Then boot from this CD and it will run a program called memtest.

 

This will test the memory for errors.

Let the program run for at least 3 hours, if you get any errors instantly stop.

(errors will come up as red lines/error count)

 

Error may mean that your memory is faulty or it is not getting enough power.

What power supply are you using?

i connected the hdd with my pc ( the one in the sig ) and formated normally and worked perfectly :S

 

and when i connected it back to the amd2600+ had to format it again since it wasnt booting and same got the same problem that i can install windows ( check post #6)
