Sharp Posted October 7, 2007 Posted October 7, 2007 Faulty memory? Also try with just CPU/board/memory/Gfx card. And clear CMOS for 5 minutes.

Sharp Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Hello, Depending on how the boot order is setup, it may hang like that. Download the bootable iso.zip. http://www.memtest.org/#downiso Extract files. Burn the ISO. (Do you know how to burn an Image/ISO to CD?) Then boot from this CD and it will run a program called memtest. This will test the memory for errors. Let the program run for at least 3 hours, if you get any errors instantly stop. (errors will come up as red lines/error count) Error may mean that your memory is faulty or it is not getting enough power. What power supply are you using? dejv Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 already did the memtest for 24 hrs ... no errors found :S
Voltes-5 Posted October 19, 2007 Posted October 19, 2007 Now that the rams are out of the question for errors, I would then proceed to check the integrity of the hd. I normally run a full test on it, and sometimes even if it passes I would re-write the hd.
