Confused about PSUs and GFX Cards.

Okay, so I don't quite understand what specs I need a PSU to be to run the GeForce 8800GTS 320MB card... It says it needs "A minimum 400W system power supply (with 12V current rating of 26A)", what I don't understand about this statement is what the heck does "with 12V current rating of 26A" mean? Can someone recommend a PSU that meets this requirement?

P.S. This is the link to the page about the card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16814133193

It just means that a minimum of 26 amps is required at the 12v rails. I would go with a OCZ GamerXtream 600, a Corsair 620 watt....or PC Power & Cooling 600 silencer. These are fair priced and offer good performance.Keep in mind that when you see the specs of a power supply....there may be multiple 12v rails. It may list that there are 3 12v rails at 18 amps each. They card needs at least 26 amps combine. There are many crappy PSU's that list high specs but I would not trust them. Just get a good one the first time and sleep well at night.

Most decent PSU manufacturers clearly state the specs on there websites in addition to putting it on a sticker on the PSU.

Have a look @ OCZ's website, pick a PSU then look at the specs you will see something like this.

Hope this helps
