kobalt Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 If you've check the specs of this baby, it's close to the size of a CD Anything that big and copper is excellent in my book
ccokeman Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Its a great cooler for a non oc'd chip but it doesnt fare as well as some of the other all copper heatsinks. But ... It looks awesome and is quiet.I have the 6000cu on my wifes 1700+ and it does fairly well(For no airflow through the case its at 48 to 49c load temps). If you like it go for it and let us know how it works.
ravix Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Yeah, it should work for that OC. Also, it is pretty quiet, so its nice in that regard as well.
Will Smith Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 Its a good heatsink. Only downfalls are the size and weight of it. If your looking for a good heatsink I would recommend either a Thermalright 947 i belive it is or a Spark 7+ or a volcano 7+. I used a V7+ on mine at 3.6 and never got above 45C full load. pushing 300fsb.
Dignan Posted December 5, 2003 Posted December 5, 2003 As it says on the package, if overclocking use "normal" mode. I really doubt with that OC it's going to be a problem, even on silent. They run cooler then AMD's and it's the all copper version which means it will cool awesome.
