CharmedLover84 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 OCDB entry done: http://www.diy-street.com/forum/showpost.p...33&postcount=72 ~~~ Feel free to look it over and tell me what I should fix... I'll probably be retesting for SLI stability tomorrow then I'll post those scores etc. over that current entry. Was testing with one card cuz I just wanted the SOB to be stable. I think it still has some power issues though, dunno... we'll see I guess. ::yawns:: long and bad day ::holds up a sliced up finger:: LOL

CharmedLover84 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Yep, and it just passed stability with SLI too so yay! Now I just gotta wait to get my Danger Den system with the right liquid block and a new un-cracked reservior and I can go for 4GHz
CharmedLover84 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 If for no other reason than to keep all my ORB entries that're from stability in the same place, here's my entries ranging from 03-06: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k3=5463001 ~ 03, 62939 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=3300782 ~ 05, 21875 http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm06=2606345 ~ 06, 17421 and 01 I got 64K somethin'... it's in my ocdb entry. CharmedLover84 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16820227190 ~~~ what are your guys's thoughts on this RAM? A reviewer said it works great with an EVGA board like mine. Just thinkin' about "downgrading" to that since it has better timings and I kinda want the performance boost, since the 300MB difference in available ram really ain't worth 130 bucks. (price difference between that ram and my mushkin 4GB kit.)
Praz Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 I've got some 6400 Flex laying around here somewhere. It's good low voltage ram. I've got screenshots of benches if I can find them. lol I did find one that's uploaded. http://img292.imageshack.us/img292/4158/32m16ts1.jpg
CharmedLover84 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Already ordered... how much you want for yours though? I might EBay the ones I get and buy yours if you're cheaper LOL
Praz Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Sorry Charmed, they're not for sale. I've got them for testing purposes.
CharmedLover84 Posted July 31, 2007 Posted July 31, 2007 Oh, I misunderstood. Basically I'm getting them cuz 3-4-3-9 is a far cry from 5-5-5-18-2T I'm having to run these at. I tried running them at 5-4-4-12-2T @ 2.0V and it was kinda bitchy, didn't Prime but I didn't really wanna leave my compie on again LOL
CharmedLover84 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Oops, posted in the wrong thread there, Hey Praz, you're saying that it's perfectly safe to run the OCZ Flex without liquid cooling at 2.4Vs then right? Or should I go lower? I just wanna runn'em at stock 3-4-4-15 for now.
Praz Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 It's not save to run any memory in any 680i board at 2.4V. The 680i chipset has, does and will kill ram when run at that voltage regardless of cooling. Edit: To answer your question about watercooling, they will work just fine without it. But if you are determined to run them at 2.4V watercooling will prolong their death. On any other chipset the watercooling is not necessary if the voltage is kept within specs. CharmedLover84 Posted August 2, 2007 Posted August 2, 2007 Okay... what voltage do you run yours at for your speeds?
