ADSL usb modem

like u can see in my thread i have install Vista 32-bit and now my Speedtouch ADSL modem doesn't work,i downloaded drivers from their site(vista support) but still nuttin...in middle installation there is searching for modem and 0,Vista can't find it...anyone know what could be the problem??

You are looking at this page, right? I'm assuming you are using an alcatel speedtouch USB/thompson speedtouch 330 since they are the most popular.

Must've installed the wrong driver or something, or plugged the modem in before the drivers where installed.

dunno if it's alcatel,it's not written anywhere..and yes,that is the site where i've downloaded drivers...but no use

Look in Device Manager to see if you have a hardware item with the Yellow ! symbol.

 

If so, install the item, unplug the modem then reboot.

 

Now that you've installed the drivers and removed the problem it might detect the hardware properly.

i tried all...drivers dont wanna hear for me...dam...i'll have to find 64-bit version of vista

64bit vista is likely to be even more difficult, is it not?
