White_Hair Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 Hey: Still doing research for my water cooling components atm. I was at the DD forum and doing research. Some people said with one Thermochill PA 120.1 with two 60CMF fan push and pull settings is not enough to cool QX6700. Thinking of cooling the cpu only. I don't really want to mod my case. I don't have any tools nor an expert on modding. Any suggestions? Thanks
GH0S1_R33P0R Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 you can use a swiftech rad box to mount a 120.2 or 120.3 on the outside of your case with out modding i will give you the link on new egg http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?...N82E16835108084
radodrill Posted March 12, 2007 Posted March 12, 2007 The Thermochill HE 120.1 can remove 250W of energy; I doubt that the QX6700 would put out that much heat.
White_Hair Posted March 14, 2007 Posted March 14, 2007 Sounds good. Thx radodrill. Also thx GH0S1_R33P0R. I think PA120.1 is the one I am looking for. Mounting a PA120.1 inside a case looks much better than rad box. But it's still a good option though.
