bidded £50 for it, thought it was a stupid price since they cost $50 in states from newegg

i like that si-128 only 500ish grams ultra 120 is like 700ish grams

 

alot lighter then :D

 

hmm hard decision

 

got a xp90 right now. want a 120mm fan heatsink for better cooling

 

i was gunna get the xp120, cos there's a few of them going around

 

i heard u can use the orange dimm slots?

but on this video

u can clearly seeing him using the orange dimm slots

That's precisely why he put the RAM in there in the video, to prove that you can.

 

The SI-128 is a great cooler from what I hear. There have been several 3GHz entries using it and its little brothers (namely, the XP-120 and SI-120). But from what I hear the Ultra-120 cools a little better. However the SI-128 will also cool the area around the CPU (such as your RAM and MOSFETs).

 

If you are going to get the SI-128, I'd probably recommend the ThermalTake Big Typhoon instead. It features the same design, but it has twice the heat pipes. Many will say that after the Tuniq Tower 120 it's the best CPU heat sink you can get.
