darkan9el Posted January 27, 2007 Posted January 27, 2007 Hi all, got a mate who needs some advice on memory upgrading he's got a matched pair of Geil 2x512mb = 1Gb, but wants 2Gb. Is he better off selling the two 512Mb Geil and buying a matched pair of Geil 2x1Gb or choosing say ocz 2Gb matched pair? any advice is welcome, also if he chooses anyone of these what are the best timings for them. If you have any sources to get tccd chip, then you can get good oc with 4x512mb (Can't remeber if Geil is tccd chip for BH-5). But if you can't get tccd chip, then 2x1gb is easier to oc to reach better stability and less tweaking time. Mine is currently 4x512 TCCD G.skill LE and currenlty running at DDR610 . 2x1gb kit allows future upgrade possibility. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
