But apparently I should have done that as well? Maybe I do have more hope for OC'ing if I had this messed up all along?! Please let me konw what I should have been doing. Especially why the manual said put double sided RAM in the yellow slots, but everyone else says two RAM sticks go in the orange slots. Thanks for the help! RGone Posted October 28, 2006 Posted October 28, 2006 90% or better of the memory/cpu/board combos work best with 2 stick dual channel using the Orange slots...don't write the manual...don't know about the manual... If there are power inputs to the motherboard it would be more or most logical to input the power and forget about how many cards are installed or how many of the folks do this or whatever...power inputs cost money and if the engineers and the bean counters agreed to spend the bucks for extra power inputs...mine get inputted from the day I configure the parts into the board...that of course could be the result of my logical train of thought...
