All of my X2 stuff is about sold and had enough from the sales so far for the following that I just ordered from ZZF. ZZF was cheaper and you get a free Ghost Recon game with the 6600 :) Was going to get the 6700, but almost 1.00 extra per MHz didn't seem economically viable:

Now on to memory. The OCZ seems to have issues at times. It's great that their support is good, but it wouldn't do me a lick of help to have to use other RAM to set the timing and voltage. Being I'm an ex AMD guy, I don't have spare DDR2 laying around. Is there any other RAM that will work with no issues?

Other than some OCZ I haven't heard of any issues with any ram, and of course H_G has used OCZ with no problems that I'm aware of.

Personally I prefer Mushkin Ram, always have, but G.Skill has some good kits out too. You don't have to buy the DDR2-1000 stuff, but if you can afford it I'd recommend it. There are some kits of DDR2-667 that'll hit well over 1000 as well, so you might want to do some research on those.

Of course Oldguy has been using DDR2-1000 Geil with great success, it's also a lot cheaper for some reason.

Tell me about it. I haven't overclocked an Intel in like...never. The only Intel system I ever built, besides a really old P166 years ago was a 3.0e for my father and he didn't OC. I had an HP 333, a Dell 700, a Gateway 1.4, and then a Dell 2.4 and then a 3200+, 3800+, 4400+... :)

Okay bear with me here. If you aren't running a FSB of greater than 400, DDR2 800 will still be underclocked, right? So if you run 390 FSB, it's only running at 780. How in the hell are people claiming DDR1000? That's a 500 FSB.

thats what memory dividers are for. even though this 975x/g cant get me over 380MHz FSB I can still run my memory @ 1000+ (thats 2x500 btw rather than 4x250).
