The OCZ seems to have issues at times. It's great that their support is good, but it wouldn't do me a lick of help to have to use other RAM to set the timing and voltage. red930 Posted October 18, 2006 Posted October 18, 2006 Other than some OCZ I haven't heard of any issues with any ram, and of course H_G has used OCZ with no problems that I'm aware of. Personally I prefer Mushkin Ram, always have, but G.Skill has some good kits out too. You don't have to buy the DDR2-1000 stuff, but if you can afford it I'd recommend it. There are some kits of DDR2-667 that'll hit well over 1000 as well, so you might want to do some research on those. The only Intel system I ever built, besides a really old P166 years ago was a 3.0e for my father and he didn't OC. That's a 500 FSB. thats what memory dividers are for. even though this 975x/g cant get me over 380MHz FSB I can still run my memory @ 1000+ (thats 2x500 btw rather than 4x250).
