Praz Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I don't believe anyone here with a Venus has an FX60 running on it. Check the OCDB also. Not all 3.0+ entries are in the 3GHz club for one reason or another.
Blaise Posted September 6, 2006 Posted September 6, 2006 I can't hit 3.1G with my eXpert running on water... I level out at about 3.084G using 1.5V. Yeah, I know it ain't a Venus but I thought I'd share
kevinyu007 Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 looks like this venus is not doing any better for OC. I had success previously with OCZ PC4000 Platinum XTC running FSB 257*12 - 3.084Ghz and I changed to Mushkin Redline XP4000 DDR500, thought it might overclock better...maybe FSB 260*12 - 3.120Ghz. Praz Posted September 7, 2006 Posted September 7, 2006 No motherboard is going to help if the processor is at the end of it's capability. I doubt there is any Redlines that won't do at least 260.
Guest RohypnoL Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 I have an FX-60 that I'm fiddling with right now at 3250. I've gotten 3225 Prime stable for 4 hours with bad ram. I just got 2x1gb Mushkin Redlines today so I'm going to start over with this good ram and see what I can do.

HITandRUN Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 1.67V:eek2: Dude this it too much for so little Mhz! What are the temps?
Guest RohypnoL Posted February 6, 2007 Posted February 6, 2007 Idle is 21/32 and load is around 38/50 normally, but it's cold so I'm taking advantage of it. Loads with cold air and W/C are 24/39 and Idle is 8/20 lol I know 1.67 is a lot, but I'm just working on getting to it. I just dropped the volts down to 1.66 an hour ago and played some CSS with no problems. I'm going to go 1.65 right now Once I see lockups in games, i'll bump it up one then prime and see how I do.
