SATA 2(3gb/sec) possible on a nf3 UT250GB

No I believe its a limitation of the physical controller so no unless you got a sata 2 pci card (which would be pointless as you'd hit the limit on the pci slot anyway) the only way to get sata 2 is upgrade the board or go nforce4(probably more than your willing to do).

My WD SATA2 HDD is working without a jumper. For what I read, only some chipsets (VIA for example) require the jumper for proper operation. Don't worry about SATA2, since there's no HDD capable of speeds faster than 150MB/s (SATA1).
