Angry_Games Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 was reading this: http://cbs4boston.com/seenon/local_story_136104102.html seems like a good deal...if you don't want old crap cd's anymore lol. Too bad I basically donated all of my cd's to friends or other places already =(
red930 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Wow...that's pretty sweet. It seems the only catch is that they have to be able to sell the cds (nothing to abscure, I guess). Jewel cases, no scratches, liner notes are required. I'm not sure I want an iPod, but I'd be willing to trade cds for cds. 2 of yours for one of theirs. Cool. dr_bowtie Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Thats cool...I got over 300 cd's laying around...But I already bought a Toshiba MEG-F40...so I guess I'll keep the dusty ones a bit longer...nice deal though...
red930 Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 Personally I'd rather sell the CDs as I'd probably need quite a lot fewer to get enough money for an ipod.
Guest Timmay Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 In a year/few years people wont be seen dead with an iPod, something else will come along.
Thasp Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 There always was, and still is, and always will be something better than the iPod for less money. iPods are form over function, which doesn't seem to cater to the DFI tweaker clientele. Burky Posted July 11, 2006 Posted July 11, 2006 As for the iPod thing going out of date, apparently MS might be releasing a new player. I got this link from another forum, so I don't know how official or legit it is so please don't classy lady: http://www.engadget.com/2006/07/06/...ayer-working-o/ Also, what counts as a CD? Do demo cds and free compilations count? I have a few of those that have accumulated over the years, but are legit CDs, but are totally worthless. I'd be interested to read the exact conditions of the deal.
