jlqrb Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 i clocked my 4800 to 2.8ghz last night and got prime for 7 hours can i call that stable or do i have to scale it back and get to that magic number of 12 hours for it to really be stable ? Praz Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 For true stability the system should be able to Prime for at least 24 hours. If you are wanting to do an OCDB entry then Prime needs to run at least 8 hours.
jlqrb Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 i can also complete a occt stability test with my oc at 2.8 i already have the volts as high as i want to take them, so does this mean that i have to scale back a bit for real stability ? Praz Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 If you are saying that you are not Prime stable for more then 7 hours my opinion would be yes.
yfital Posted July 10, 2006 Posted July 10, 2006 i agree with praz, in any way, dont settle for anything less then 12 hours, and for the last complete check, at least 24h, i had a prime fail on me @ the 24:12 hour. now that sucks. :
