red930 Posted August 11, 2006 Posted August 11, 2006 umm not really All Es Chips = unlocked I suppose if you have an engineering sample than yeah, maybe. However from most of the reports I've seen nobody uses a 6600 running any higher than 9x, or 6700 higher than 10x, which is why people are needing the really high FSB boards. Angry_Games Posted August 22, 2006 Posted August 22, 2006 if Rgone or I receive bioses, beta or official, we post them up if you see users with a bios other than what is posted on dfi.com.tw or here, then it is not made by us or was not given to us so therefore I would not trust it one bit (since you guys aren't rich and can spend money to replaced dead parts that such bioses can regularly produce)
WFO Posted August 25, 2006 Posted August 25, 2006 Someone at Extreme Overclocking is posting about a secret unreleased bios dated 8/16 for this board too. Based on HG's post above, I'll assume this isn't a DFI creation. http://forums.extremeoverclocking.com/show...ad.php?t=233156 Initial reviews at Newegg indicate problems with the bios holding an OC on reboot and other issues. http://www.newegg.com/Product/CustratingRe...N82E16813136168 Is this board safe to buy for Core Duo now and have the reported issues been addressed? Budwise Posted August 29, 2006 Posted August 29, 2006 it helped with the memory dividers quite a bit. I can now OC on a divider higher than 533 or 400. As for overall FSB, i havent tested any higher than my 24/7 OC of 356X9.
