Thats the name of the game... not Futbol or Football, its "how many players will get a red card"...

Already warned Supershanks about this dude, which I hope doesn't make my country look bad too much... but he will, eventually.

Found this link, lol its funny: http://www.bigsoccer.com/forum/showthread.php?t=362635

This article also talks about this dude... http://www.nufc.com/ (middle of the page)

Three Lions & a vampire:

Fan(g)s worry

for Owen & Co.

This handsome beast is World Cup referee Marco Rodriguez - who will take charge of England's opening group stage game against Paraguay.

And that news has been greeted with alarm by our man in Mexico - his home country.

David Walsh takes up the story:

Marco Rodriguez, without doubt is the worst referee I have ever seen. He makes Uriah Rennie look like Pierluigi Colina.

Rodriguez or "Chiqui Dracula" (Little Dracula) as he is known here is a very controversial figure in Mexico.

My first experience of Chiqui was seeing him send off six players at a Tigres game in 1999.

I've seen him on numerous occasions since and he has sent off at least one player in every game. His darkest three hours though came in the 2005 Mexican finals:

Club America were losing 1-0 in the 90th minute when one of their players fell, yards from an opposing player. Chiqui awarded the most amazingly unjust penalty in history and Club America went on to win the title.

In the second final hot favourites Monterrey had three players inexplicably sent off and went on to lose. Chiqui had to have an armed police escort round the clock when he officiated there this season.

Chiqui was actually the standby ref for Germany, but last week it was announced that the first choice was " injured."

I just know Chiqui will take great pleasure in sending Beckham, Owen or any of our stars off - so place your bets on the first red card being in the England v Paraguay game - Crouch getting sent off for the robot dance is a distinct possibility!

PS - re: the Dracula nickname, someone in FIFA obviously has a sense of humour, judging by their pen picture of Rodriguez which mentions that he "has cut his teeth on some tough Concacaf group qualifiers". Presumably using "sharpened his fangs" might have been a bit(e) too obvious..

Game is tomorrow, June 10th... I hope Chiqui Dracula remains "Chiqui Dracula"... because once he become "Draculin" (because of the draculerin) there is no turning back... Good luck England and Paraguay, you are going to need it!

And the worse part is how this dude takes the rules of the game literally... so there is no way to say he did it on purpose. But there are things that are just accidents, while others that are just NOT for red cards.

I really wish both teams good luck. Careful with Paraguay, their whole game tactic is defense and rough game... and if England respond to this rough game then Chiquis will attack: the Paraguayans learned a lot from the Argentinians about how to make little bad things HUGE... lol, lets hope everything goes well and the game will end up as it should; lets also hope Chiquidracula likes Germany a lot and he stays there... FOREVER!!!!

Lol what's europe done 4 you. Don't want him as an official in champions league when liverpool play. :)

Like you say re paraguay's style it's easy to see players from both sides being carded. Doesn't give you much of achance in the fair play award if he refs your games.

LOL

Over here back in the 80's there was a kid's show called Chiquilladas... all children actors, and one of them, Carlos Espejel, did a sketch about a Dracula kid... or Chiquidracula. Well Marco Rodriguez looks like Espejel in character too much it was hard not to call him Chiquidracula :)

Yeah, "ubber light"... nearly a 3-1 because of a weird ball bouce in front of Porras.

Imagine how weird the ball will move when Brazil plays??? All the team players are really good kicking it... I hate to be in the receiving end.

Costa Rica died of nothing... literally. Afraid of the WC, no other way to explain it... and 3-1 is not going to be the final score, I think 5-1 is more likely.

Germany isn't doing much, hopefully Poland will be as easy as Costa Rica.......... HAHA, sure :)
