Guest spectre Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 My ram tops out at 260 at 3,3,8,3 (1T) at 2.66v.Memtest stable for 4hr 40 mins. CPU max at 260 at 1.51v(112 x 1.35). prime stable (small FFTs) for 11 hours 30 min. But when i run it together; FSB/DRAM 1:1 but it fails test 7 in memtest. When i lower it to 258, it still fails. But when i run FSB 260 with ram at 1/2, it runs fine on memtest. Any ideas?
Torch Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Your IMC isn't the best. It can't handle high 1:1 Oc
Guest spectre Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 Whats a IMC? Intergrated memory controller? If so, why? And what can i do? So if its bad, wouldn't it not work even at 200 FSB 1:1?
Torch Posted May 13, 2006 Posted May 13, 2006 It could be your totally underpowered PSU. 480w is the min for your Sys.

The faster you have your ram and tighter the timings you have the more stress is put on the memory controller. You could try to increase the voltage to your cpu a tad to see if it helps, otherwise you might have to find the 'magic settings' for your ram in the bios. Guest spectre Posted May 14, 2006 Posted May 14, 2006 I increased both the ram and CPU voltages a little but it did not help. I lowered it to 255 FSB(1:1) and it still did not work. Strangely i got it working when i run the ram at 3,4,8,3 260 FSB (1:1). But i got the ram stable at 3,3,8,3 at 260 FSB.
