Cfm!!!????

Recommended Posts

my gygabyte case have 1 front intake fans 2 rear exhaust fans and all of 'em runs at 1000rpm each other (they didnt mention the cfm)

my NMB fan on the xp-90 runs at 96(ite smartguardian) which i think close to 50 cfm..

The question is.. how much CFM (minimal required) that i should set it up to my cpu???

Confusion....

I don't think you could talk about a minimum requirement. Everyone would be happy if you didn't need any fans at all; nice and quiet. You have to be guided by temperatures.

My own even OC:ed to 2.5GHz doesn't need the fan at all to run usual "office" applications. So I program the software/hardsware to adjust according to temperatures.

That's pretty hot, even though it might not be critical.

When it comes to the pwmic area the first and most vital step is to increase overall airflow in the case. Of what size are the exhaust and intake fans?

Next you could also direct a fan directly at the area.

You got some thoughts about temperatures here:
