andrusk Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Are you talking about the Remote Desktop terminal services built into windows xp pro? or 2k pro? If you are, the reason people can connect through the "windows thingy" is cause terminal services was made to work through remote desktop and NOT Internet Explorer. To connect through internet explorer youd need some kind of a server, http, ftp etc... And that would only allow you to access the files on the server, not the desktop. Is that what your talking about? If you would care to explain in greater detail what your trying to do, maybe i could come up with a better answer
Sainou-Kun Posted September 30, 2003 Posted September 30, 2003 Yeah they can connect through the terminal, but they should also be able to connect though IE. I was on the phone with microsoft tech support for about 2 hours last night and the guy was just as confused as I was. He said he didnt understand why the Box wouldent even show up when he Or anyone else tried to connect though IE, and this is all on XP Pro, 32bit Edition. JeepGC96ZJ Posted October 1, 2003 Posted October 1, 2003 Just install VNC on both PC and make it start at start up.. and set a password for it. It the easiest I think unless you have a server that can run Remote management on the users that log in.
