Nek Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Hi, I'm having this problem with my sound, I hear fuzzing sound from the right speaker only. I thought it was the speaker at first, but I listened with my headphones and the sound was comming out the right side too. I can still listen to music but I could hear the fuzz in the background. I've checked for viruses and spyware, none were found. I've tried restaring the computer but the fuzz came back around the time the log in screen came on. Anyone know what's wrong? Thanks! -Nek
Fum Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Could be your sound chip going out on you? I have heard guys complaining about this recently. Or you just need to re-install your sound drivers?
baaj Posted March 21, 2006 Posted March 21, 2006 Sounds like it is not grounded or there is interference. Are your speakers connected directly to the mobo? or do they plug in somewhere else on your case? Here's what I would do: 1. Recheck your speaker connections 2. Make sure the card is properly seated 3. Reinstall audio drivers 4. Remove any cables form the sound card to the front of the computer (if any)
Nek Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 Ok, I found a solution, if I mute the "line in" volume bar, there is no fuzz. What exactly is line in? Is it important, if not, I'm just going mute that and problem will go away for all I know...
