Monty312 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Update: I got an air filter, and chopped up the front bevel. Some cable work was done. Heres some pics: Im thinking I will get some speaker grill cloth and put it over that hole in the bezel, make it match the existing lines _________________________________________ I got water cooling stuff and decided to mod a case to make it fit. Heres some pics of whats been done so far http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/srfc...PC/IMG_4678.jpg http://i6.photobucket.com/albums/y229/srfc...PC/IMG_4682.jpg Oh yeah, the case is a ten year old gateway. Its still got its original motherboard in it. It used to hold a Pentium Pro and 8 megs of ram
Kandoo Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Wow, Did that kid just fall out of that case? You got your rad fans set up with two blowing in and one blowing out?
Monty312 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 The fans are just sitting there, didnt notice that. lol. They will eventually all be blowing in. The bottom of the front bevel(or is it bezel?) w is gonna be all mesh The Kid is me little bro
Kandoo Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 Is there any way to clip/cut the top of the sheet metal covering the top fan or is that vital to the case housing?
Monty312 Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 That sheet is what holds the power switch, and it corresponds the the front bezel, so it could come out, but it would require some more modding for the power and reset switch. jacobmervine Posted March 17, 2006 Posted March 17, 2006 im thinking about getting the same case with the sam mobo in it does it cut /mod well? size is good enough to fit alot of stuff in? thanks
Monty312 Posted March 18, 2006 Posted March 18, 2006 It cuts well, and is a good blank canvas for modding. My only complaint is that its not quite deep enough for what i was originally going to do (put the radiator on top and not lose a drive bay). I like the way it was done better anyway.
