Pyr0 Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 these are my settings, but my sticks are not good for overclocking, anything over say 258 and my monitor can start switching on and off uncontrollably i have asked about this problem numerous times, but it seems to be an isolated one, and seems to be because of this memory i have tested other memory above 260MHz and had no probs
PRJ Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Hi Pyr0 Doesn't sound too good, I hoped for a better OC than your modules reached. Thanks for the screene, might be usefull. Anybody that reached higher clocks? Greetings PRJ
JazzMang Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 The issue is with the ICs and not with the motherboards. Some earlier revisions of the PC4000EB were fairly successful OCers. The newer batches have been pretty lame as far as OC-ability goes. My set only goes to 255 reliably - this is coming from my previous high of 296 with my old Ballistix PC4000. I have tweaked as much as I can stand with little to no gain in RAM speed. Oh well... at least the timings are ok.
PRJ Posted March 12, 2006 Posted March 12, 2006 Hmm... Doesn't sound very good eigther, except the pat about the ok timings... Would expect better OC from OCZ... 500 Us Dollars, and they dont clock good :eek2: PRJ
