rs shook on3 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 Yesterday morning when i started up my comp, the 4 red indicator lights in the bottom right corner came on and stayed on. Now whenever i try to boot or restart they come on. Nothing shows up on the screen. The manual says that 3 lights indicates it recognizes the processor, 2 the ram, and 1 the gfx card and none and it has booted. I didnt change any settings in between the time it worked and the time it didnt. I tried a safe boot but it still wont respond. CPDMF Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 I would try a 10 minute CMOS clear. Then with one stick of RAM in the orange slot furthest from the CPU. After that an overnight clear.
rs shook on3 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 alright ill try both of those and repost if it still is giving me problems. thanks

rs shook on3 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 a basic case psu....nothing special. you think it could be the psu? i can try out one of my friend's psu if you think that may be the problem.
cesium Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 yes! you need a high quality PSU that is at least, i think 420w, in order to run thsi board stabily... you need to read the FAQ
rs shook on3 Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 it is 420w...maybe not high quality lol. all the fans and leds ome on though and the fans seem to be running full power so i should think that the psu is fine. when my friends psu died, everything ran at half speed, and only half the leds and such came on. foolkiller Posted March 6, 2006 Posted March 6, 2006 That defiantly sounds like a PSU problem. Hopefully it didn’t cause any damage to the mother board. You should never use those PSU that come with the case. Get yourself a new PSU. If you still have the same problem after the new PSU you may have to RMA that motherboard. It would also be a good idea to try a deferent CPU and RAM after getting the new PSU, if you have that option. Hate to say it but you basically just caused yourself some nice future headaches. Well let’s hope a new PSU does it. Keep us updated.

Not PSU....OCZ Powerstream 520. Currently doing a overnight CMOS reset.......next stop RMA.
