Infra-Red?

In Device Manager, get an infra-red port.

 

Everything points to is being on the Motherboard. Anyone know how to get it working, or where abouts on the board it actually is? I'm trying to link up my mobile with it, but failing.

never heard of a infra red port on the mobo.

but now you mention it I also have one in my device manager.

probably a windows default.

Irda in your BIOS should be disabled and this will go away in the Device Manager

I think there are IR headers on the MB so all you'd need would be the transciver arrry.

I,m trying to get irda working for sake of phone, found connection on board but no module do I have to buy this or should I have it somewhere

I'd like to use the irda interface, but what hardware do i need? is it a connector for a module to get from somewhere?

If you need IrDA, then just buy a USB Module off newegg. They are as cheap at $14.

 

If you if must have a module that connects to your motherboard, then Google is your friend. You can even purchase all the parts at Radio Shack and construct your own. Instructions are on the Internet. Again, Google is your friend.
