Misled Posted September 10, 2003 Posted September 10, 2003 Unless that DSL modem is also a router, you will need to either buy a router or hook up one computer to act as a server and then have it assign IPs out to the other machines via the switch (hub). Your ISP is only assigning one computer an IP. Some will assign additional IPs but usually at an additional cost. Plunk down the $ and get a router. They are cheap nowadays and this will likely solve your problem. The router will get issued an IP from the DSLAM and then the router can distrubute IPs (DHCP server) out to all the computers.
