tommyboy Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Hi, Is it ok to djuice a Venice (on air) with 1.65V 24/7?? I have to raise Vcore to 1.65V to reach 260-265fsb stable. My temps are: CPU: 54 degree (during load) Chipset: 44 degree (without fan) System in sign.
THunDA Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 Moved this to the overclocking section.. please post in the correct sections.. I think 1.65v should be the max that you should put into it 247.. Your temps arent bad but most of us try to keep the load temps below 50c, so your a little above the temp that most like to keep it at.. Is 54c dangerous.. ? I dont think its really dangerous but it would be good to get it lower if possible..
Gorgias-Flux Posted January 9, 2006 Posted January 9, 2006 I have a link in my sig to a post by Dracula on the effect of volting a Venice and some guidelines. These are his opinions, which I agree with. Your system should run where it is and should be stable assuming you are priming appropriately. Just keep in mind that Drac's opinion and mine are from a more conservative outlook about what risks are worth taking when OCing and what risks are not. You have to decide what is best for you.
