Leeinfinity Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 is it recommended to clean the surface of the cpu and the bottom surface of the HS before applying AS5?
JiminyC Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 There are alot of methods used to seat a cpu. Best to goto AS's web site for use of their product.
Whazuuup! Posted October 13, 2005 Posted October 13, 2005 Yes it is. Every guide I've read says to clean both surfaces before applying the thermal stuff. Really pure isopropyl is what I've been reccomended. I think I used like 70%, and then blasted it off with canned air. But if you have 90% or higher that would be better. Might want to google/search for more info.
