Smoken Joe Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Tha basics are the same for other cards good airflow and coolbits. Nvida usues the same drivers for nearly all their cards. You just need coolbits or the program of you choice then test it out in games. http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/showthread.php?t=23721

KingYubbo Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 That's what coolbits is. It changes the nvidia drive settings so it allows you to overclock. It should be a .reg file. You're diong it correctly.
Prostock62 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Thanks but whats there to do?I unziped it and i just have that file. Now what,or how do you change the setting to overclock?I dont see any control panel to do anything. red930 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 You need to double-click on the '.reg' files to implement them into the registry. In some cases, you may need to reboot your computer for the settings to take effect.
Prostock62 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 I did that Ace but isnt there a control panel to adjust the overclock settings? How do you know what your clock is? Thanks
red930 Posted October 12, 2005 Posted October 12, 2005 Go into display properties, settings, advanced, click on the 6600GT tab and you will find a menu that has an entry for clock settings.
