silky19kilo Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Hello, im looking into getting a new power supply and ive decided on the Ocz powersteam 600. my question is whats the diffrence between the OCZ600ADJ and the OCZ600ADJ EU. from what ive read i think the EU supports 220 and 110 but do they both have the Two PCI-E cables. thanks in advance for any help. nkarnold Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Im sure, its down to the EU model supporting Active PFC, which here in the UK, is a legal requirement for power supplies.
ukdave Posted September 6, 2005 Posted September 6, 2005 Yes i believe that is correct. Also i'm afraid that model only has one PCI-E power connector. I use a two molex to PCI-E splitter provided by my graphics card for the 2nd connector. I utilise the two VGA/HDD special molex connectors to provide power to the splitter. davidhammock200 Posted September 7, 2005 Posted September 7, 2005 cool thanks for the info, i guess ill order the EU one being that it is active PFCAn excellent idea  , I recommend active PFC to anyone outside of the US & Canada. Also in large business/commerical installs, all PSU's should have active PFC as well. Dave
